I started using Red-E 20 WT synthetic oil after a strong recommendation from a custom motor builder that would not honor a warranty on a new motor unless it was filled with Red-E oil. Which caught my attention, why was this oil so special?

I currently run a team of competition Jr. Dragsters that push the limit on single cylinder 4 cycle engines. After being a long time user of different colored oil and after running out of our product at the track. A friend with the same motor offered a sample of Red-E to try for a race.

Our racing requires prediction and tuning of miniature Top Fuel race cars to the hundredths of a second in a 1/8th mile. Needless to say, not an easy feat. First thing that was easy to see was the car was faster on the first time run by a tenth of a second without any change except the oil . Then also after a computer check EGT was down by 100 to a 150 degrees and total temperature at the end of the race by 30 degrees, surprising. After the next race all results were in the same margins also RPM's were averaging 200 more than normal also.

My real reason for taking a minute to write this letter was my experience last week. After pulling the cars out of the trailer rain showed up and cars were returned to the trailer thus breaking our normal routine including crew members arriving late. The first car was sent to the starting line with no oil in the crankcase, normally a very bad thing. Motor was brought up to temp 190 degrees, allowed to do two strong burn outs to heat the tires then sent down the 1/8th mile. With an 8.90 tune up the car ran 8.95 then shut off. Then I quickly remembered there wasn't any oil in it. I reluctantly touched the flywheel to find that it was not locked up and actually still had compression. After adding oil this time the car ran 8.74, adding weight next run to run 8.899. Awesome, car has run 14 rounds of racing since and is fine. I wouldn't believe it unless I saw it and will never run anything else but Red-E and be an advocate for anybody else too.
